Cannot tell from driving in car vs bus.
Please fix app so it learns how to identify when the driver is driving their car versus when the driver uses public transportation. I live in Gainesville, FL, where public transportation system is great and therefore I use it everyday. I get flagged almost every time as the app thinks I’m driving. To make it worse, the app asks me for dual identification every single time I try to open it. Also, my score is average (82) even though the four parameters to assess driving are excellent.
Very shady
I am very sad that I even have to write this post. I have been a member with Geico for the past six years, including four of which were while I was active duty military. Tell me why I have never had one accident. I have never been given one ticket. I have never used any of their coverages, besides getting a tow for a flat tire one time in my entire time having them as my insurance company, they tried to more than double my insurance this last billing cycle and stating that our algorithm deemed you as a “at risk driver” I asked him what did they mean by this when I was talking to a manager and the manager basically was very rude and condescending saying well if you don’t like the price then just go look around for some price somewhere else was very taken back by this and not sure why they were being so rude once again I said what on my record with them made them decide that I wasn’t at river after going through a lot of hoops and going through a lot of effort I was able to get my entire driving record pulled as well as my consumer report pulled that stated I had no risk no reason to be made a at risk driver because I have no accident or anything. I find it extremely shady and extremely rude that after having them for so long that my $200 bill went up to over 500 and they had no explanation other than that’s just what our algorithm said. I can understand it going up a few bucks but up to 500$ a month was insane. Geico is blindly following an algorithm that if it throws you into a Designation that you do not belong you’re pretty much screwed. I have been nothing but a perfect driver and someone that always would pay on time. I did go over to Progressive and they were able to give me the same coverage that Geico gave me and the difference was only $20 from my original coverage with GEICO. I was gonna be paying a month for no reason with GEICO for falsely being labeled as an at risk driver. I will say that earlier last year I did get into an accident with another Geico policyholder who they had struck me and redeemed completely at fault by the police and by the insurance company and I did get a payout and so I am wondering if this is some type of weird retaliation so they can make the profits back that they paid me it’s all extremely shady to me just the way they tried to explain it and push me away instead of treating me like a customer.
Long term customers
My wife & I closing in on 25 years with GEICO. Zero major accidents / safe driver certified etc. Few windshield replacements & couple small fender benders. Recently requested a review of our premium & possible reduction. Got nothing! Thanks a bunch GEICO!

I can never open this app outside of my home. Like in the car when I’m trying to tell it I’m a passenger and not the driver so my score keeps going down
