Kinda awful
Would not take a mobile payment, waited almost a week to inform me my payroll check was not accepted. My other bank has never given me issues like this, I will be going back.
Acorn
It seems like a great and easy way to invest. They charge for even the smallest package and their app is not easy to navigate. Please do not fall for this like I did.
Do not get Acorns
Acorns has been charging me 5$ a month without me knowing, I canceled my account and got a statement notification, while I had the app I was making significantly less than other sites like robin hood and so, idk what acorns does but they def do not re invest your money
Watch your money tree grow
You set it and forget it and watch your money grow. A small number of risk levels to choose from based on your investment style. Great portfolio balances
So far No complaints
Taking it day by day investing what I can.
Don’t invest through acorns
Do not use this app unless you want a major headache. You will have issues obtaining their services, specifically their mighty oak debit card. They have a horrible processing system to verify your identity, as I submitted documents multiple times to no avail. Customer representatives are no help and stick to a script or chose to avoid the direct issue overall in their responses. You’re better off opening a checking account and investing somewhere else. At this point, even RobinHood is a better platform and we all know what they did with GameStop. Please for the love of God do not use acorns.
Losing money and collecting fees
Not once have I randomly checked on my investments and I had not lost money. And then every time I make an automatic investment I end up paying more in fees. I’ve had the app since 2021. I’ve used their recommended base fund and their automatic top earnings fund. Both have resulted in about 1/3 of my investments in return but that negates the loss of those investments completely by acorns. And I’ve known their to be several days where what I thought I had in my portfolio changed and somehow I no longer had the bonds and stocks that I knew were doing good that day. I cannot help but feel like I’m being scammed by racketeering ultra wealthy profiteers and thieves. I never had much money in my account but I left Robinhood after falling victim during the Wall Street bets GameStop fiasco which I guess we just moved on from as a nation without any reprieve for the little guy only to end up here.
