Loyal to voice dream… but.
Con la nueva escalada de precios, la inflación, la economía en, etc. Es comprensible que quieran aumentar precio en voice dream pero por mi parte prefiero eliminar esta app de mi teléfono. Invertí en Voice dream 4 años atrás y la he disfrutado incluso he comprado voces para leer mis pdf y textos, algunas voces están horribles, otras están decentes y eso ha hecho más aceptable esta aplicación, tengo muchos pdf que me han abierto mi mente y roto muchos paradigmas de la vida y estos muy feliz por haber adquirido Voice dream. Pero ahora que quieren moverse al modo de suscripción y cobrar al año para mi no vale la pena, prefiero perder mi inversión y buscar otro método de lectura a través de voz, es mas prefiero yo mismo grabar mi voz leyendo mis pdf y subirlos a mi teléfono para escucharlos y hacer mis propias conjeturas mientras realizo mi grabación de voz.

Be careful of this developer; he's dishonest. He recently decided to move to a subscription model. So, even though I have been a long time legacy user, I subscribed. But then, he reneged on requiring a subscription. So now I'm out a $60 subscription fee that evidently isn't necessary. Let the buyer beware.

Updated review, 04/14/24: I did NOT download the latest update because it mentioned a login. WHY? Why do I need a login now for an app I’ve had on my iPhone for over 10 years!? Why is this new developer forcing features that are totally unnecessary?? Readers, please provide me with an insight if you’ve already updated. Updated review, 04/07/24: Just downloaded the latest update with the developer acknowledging the overwhelming negative reaction to forced subscription for legacy users, WHICH THEY NOW REVERSED. Thank you for doing the right thing for your existing users!! Voice Dream is awesome once again! 🤩👍🏻👏🏻🥳 *************** Recent review: Long time legacy user here. Got it when it was first released about ten years ago and paid a bunch for different voices. Suddenly forcing legacy users to pay a subscription is BAIT AND SWITCH and the developer should be ashamed. Report the app for violating Apple’s TOS 3.1.2(a) which states the developer: "If you are changing your existing app to a subscription-based business model, you should not take away the primary functionality existing users have already paid for. For example, let customers who have already purchased a "full game unlock" continue to access the full game after you introduce a subscription model for new customers."

Compared to the costlier options out there, I find VoiceDream gives so much more bang for the buck than the alternatives. I have enjoyed the ability to choose voice, speed it up for my ADHD, and highlight the text itself then share out highlights — all for so affordable a purchase. Thank you for reversing your decision to require a subscription! Truly an equitable move.

As a person with dyslexia who is in their master's program, this app has been an absolute lifesaver. It is extremely easy to use and versatile and has been a constant tool that I have used over the last two years of my program.

In several places including their website, they claimed this is a free app. The App Store said “free with in app purchases”. If the entire app is gated, then what is free? Oh…7 days, then you uninstall or pay. What’s worse is them acting like they’re about accessibility. They even ask about your specific learning disability, just before asking for money. I understand they have to make money, but there’s no excuse for misleading people who have a hard enough struggle with life. I’ll never give my money to dishonest businesses, and if you (dear reader) also hate this practice, NaturalReader gives a truly basic version for free, they’ll get my money. So far it’s great…the other app that is.
