Initially Educational until flaws appear
After using Mimo for a few days, I happily purchased an annual subscription. I added it to my daily educational routine, along with Rosetta Stone, Duolingo, Babbel, Lingvano, MorseMania, Brilliant, and others. But after using Mimo for about 15 minuta a day, the flaws start to show. One is logging in. I’ve had multiple instances where I completed a set of exercises and had them checked off, but didn’t get experience or credit toward the daily check in streak. The next day, I’d have to do them over. But the worst part is these aren’t so much lessons and quizzes as they are directions. For example, the directions might literally be “enter *get* in the code below”, and you succeed by typing “get” in the only place something can be typed. It’s not learning, just following directions, and it became worse the further in I got. There is no random review or tests, either. You can only redo old lessons, but that doesn’t count for credit of any kind, and since it doesn’t teach anything, it’s pointless. Buyers remorse ensues.

I love this app! I am new to the programming field and it has really helped me pick up new languages. However, I do wish there was an option to test out of sections. I know a lot of introduction Python, but nothing after that. It would be great to be able to skip ahead to the stuff that would really benefit me! Overall, amazing app and I can’t wait to keep using it

I love this app with all my heart. I always wished there was something this straightforward yet pretty enough to pay attention to. I do miss the AI bot that was in previous versions because it really helped explaining things I got confused on instead of googling it.

**Update: After using this app for a while and scrolling through reviews I have noticed this dev does not care about the app anymore and if you see how many reviews they have responded to after about 3 years ago, it is abysmal. This app is just geared to get you to subscribe and that is it, once you have subscribed to the app they will start pushing using it on a PC. This is where they try and get you for another $40/month. The cost is not worth it, try spending a little more and actually going to a Bootcamp!! If you want to learn online there are far better places to learn such as Udemy, Google’s Python Cert through Coursea, or just go and learn from Programming with Mosh on YouTube for free! This is not the way. **Old Review** I can’t even set up an account or start the first lesson without the app crashing. It had no problem starting a 14-day trial but after that it does not work and only states that something went wrong and I must try again later. I hope the Dev has some feed back of help on this as I’d really hoped to use this as a practice app out side of my coding bootcamp.
