Has sound issues and basic functionality issues
The in-app phone option for contacting the customers and restaurants via phone does not work and it has not worked for about a year now. After many attempts to contact Uber Help and being patronized by them over and over again telling me "not to worry, someone will be contacting me about it" they have done nothing and I have given up on trying to have the issue fixed. Similarly, for about 6 months now the volume of the trip notifications has been wacky. Basically, the app makes NO sounds when I receive a trip request. Only when I am already playing sound through the phone from either files or streaming or anything does it make the trip request chime. Also the volume bar moves repeatedly and uncontrollably all the way up and down by itself during a trip notification. Though if there is no audio playing on the phone already when a trip request notification comes in then there will be no sound to indicate the trip request and therefore I have missed many trips. The customer support does nothing an automated computer couldn't do. Whenever there is an unforseen issue they are completely unprepared to respond and the employees simply don't seem care either way. They pass the call and you never end up reaching the people or reached by the people who could resolve your issue. With all the money they take from every party they touch for their operation, and considering the horrid pay scale, you'd think they could do something productive rather than save a few pennies.
Slave work
They treat people like slaves. They don’t pay you cancellation fees, I’m surprised it’s not lawsuit against this billion dollar industry that doesn’t want to pay anything I can’t tell you how many times I drove more than 10 minutes to the restaurant. The order was canceled because I didn’t pick up the food. They won’t compensate you It’s ridiculous. They are not good people in this company.
Ridiculous
Don’t drive for Uber their system is messy. I have proper insurance that is under my parents name an all because my name is not present on the insurance they denied me the right to drive. I have shown them my insurance and vehicle registration but they still denied me cause of name on the insurance card. I kept asking them are they responsible if I get a ticket or an accident I got no response. That’s Uber requirements. There needs to be and update when it comes to insurance.

I’ve uploaded photo of insurance about 23 times now but not it says expired.
They don’t even send trips to old drivers.
What the tittle say. If your a new driver you’ll probably not experience this- instead you’ll go through what is called the “honey moon phase” where you’ll get anabundance in trips but after a while give or take a few months and you’ll notice a sever drop in trips being sent you way. It’s Bad and the government should be looking into their company….

I like the app, it works well and provides a lot of information about earning trends to help you make the most money. I also have a lot of complaints. First of all, the company downplays how much of the fare it takes. The base fair a rider will pay is $7.39, but the lowest rate a rider will get paid for a ride is $4.41. That means they are taking 40% of the fare, which is outrageous. Secondly, they will randomly suspend your account for a background check and not let you work until it is done. This happened to me as I was going out for one of the busiest weekends in my area, and it took over a month to be completed. During that month I had about 5 conversations with Uber support and was told each time that it would be taken care of within 2 days. It was eventually taken care of, but I am still holding a grudge because I lost a lot of money because of the company’s inefficient background checking process. I know they use another company for it and have no control over that, but get a better company or something.
