United StatesYou can record your summit successes directly on your smartphone! With the SummitLynx app you can record your mountain tours, bike tours, climbing tours and skiing tours just like in a summit or tour book. The digital hiking maps in the app facilitate orientation in the mountains.
High up on the mountain or along gentle landscapes - record your sportive activities in the app at 400 000 worldwide destinations altogether. If you want, you can share these successes with your friends - directly via the app or via Facebook and Twitter. At the same time, you collect points for hiking badges and take part in competitions and campaigns. Thus, you will be even more motivated to explore nature and reach your goals.
Especially useful: The emergency function mySOS. Enter a contact person who will receive a text message in case you are not back from your hike at the agreed time. Thanks to GPS tracking the mountain rescue service can find you more easily. Ideal for those, who want to increase their safety in the mountains or who are often out and about on their own.

* You can enter different types of movement in your digital tour book: Hikes, bike tours, climbing tours, skiing tours, winter hikes and cross-country skiing tours.
* Collect hiking badges with the digital hiking pass and take part in competitions.
* Emergency communication with mySOS, should something happen to you during the tour.
* Friends list: Share your mountain experiences with your friends.

* Entries are possible without internet connection! Your entries will be temporarily stored until you will be online again.

I really really like the app! It's a great mixture of logging in, earning badges that make you proud and some nice prices offered by companies throughout the year! I always feel like i am a even more happy than usual reaching a peak and logging in or doing more peaks in one run or i even use the app to determine where to go next. After i had some problems with the email-adress Peter from the support (and CEO?) helped so quick and nice!
It is rather addictive and fun collecting summits and points. Also interesting seeing who else is completing the same summits. I like the feature of being able to add previous hikes. Not had any trouble using the app, any (very) minor issues were quickly resolved. Fantastic team running the app. Will continue to use this app on future holidays.
A game changing app for hikers, mountaineers, and outdoor enthusiasts. I discovered this app whilst holidaying in Stubai and wanting to track all the hiking achievements. The app recognises where you have visited and matches against a database of known achievements, for example making your first high mountain ascent. I am thoroughly impressed by sheer size of the regions it serves and depth of information. There's a helpful map function too which helps explore regions to see what's available.

Super updates in 2020! Don't forget function?! Thanx a lot. Better than expected. 2019: Excellent offline app with little map in it. Badges, checkins are really entertaining. It is little extra for the hiking. Ring tone near the check point would nice.
