Awful
I have to revise my score on this app. If all you want is a to b mapping where the rever app decides the route this is a great app. If you want to use the website to plan your ride and then load it, it's a total disaster. The app freaks out of you don't precisely start where it wants and you can never miss a turn or the app has aneurism. I have seen an update to its core functionality in a while.
So far so good, only used it a day. Would like the GPS to show actual speed. Recorder does, why not GPS. Long week of riding cross country coming up. I'll be back.
The app don't works. Throws errors when trying to ride. Now I'm not even able to open it
Looks good on paper, but very poor execution. I love the concept, but the UX is shockingly bad, and the turn by turn is mediocre at best (the voice instructions and rerouting are both terrible). Who thought a navigation app should default to keeping the screen timeout off? I also found that sliding on the screen to look around would often add a waypoint instead, causing lots of confusion. Free version is far too restrictive compared to the competition (I find Detecht strikes a good balance).
Turn-by-turn navigation is awful. If you are not starting your ride from a start point or you are not following the route, you are done. It simply stops doing any meanful things. The route planner itself is quite good. I had only one issue with the Rever remembering the fact that I don't want to use freeways. So, when I opened the route in the application, it rebuilt it using freeways.
Well well well, it's another app selling your personal info to undisclosed third parties. I briefly installed it until I read the privacy policy and then promptly uninstalled it and looked for a privacy-friendly alternative, and found it: FitoTrack (on F-droid). If you are okay with this, fine, but I don't want an app recording a trip involving speeding (be honest, everyone speeds a little, even to just keep up with traffic) to be selling my personal info like this.
