WiFi only. Use your phone or tablet to monitor WSJT-X running on your computer. Join your family while still keeping up with what your station is receiving. Works for all modes (FT8, FT4, WSPR, MSK144, etc). Extensive help menus, including how to configure WSJT-X or JTDX. It displays nicely on tablets as well as phones.
Note that you cannot initiate a transmit with this or any other app. WSJT-X developers do not allow the "Enable Tx" button to be pressed remotely.
ALERTS - The app will monitor your station and alert you when a desired region or callsign is heard. For example, it can let you know when a rare DX station appears, when 6 meters opens up, or when your own callsign is heard.
FILTERS - You can control the locations and callsigns that you want to see. Alternatively, you can control the locations and callsigns that you don't want to see.
SELECT STATION – A window will show all the stations in the last group. You can select the station to reply to. The effect is the same as double clicking the station in the WSJT-X Band Activity panel.
SORTING - The app includes an option to sort each burst based on signal strength, distance, frequency, or direction (azimuth).
MAPPING - The app will bring up Google Maps and draw a line from your grid square to the grid square of the last 30 stations received. You can view propagation changing over time.
**Important** - You must configure WSJT-X or JTDX correctly before this app will display anything. It's easy and the help menus graphically illustrate how to do this. If you need additional help then you can send us an Email (a convenient Email link is inside the app). We are happy to assist.
Also available is "Display All Messages" window where you can also see the background messages (such as heartbeat and status change) that WSJT-X sends out but are not normally displayed.
This app does not share your data, communicate with any back-end server, or even require Internet access. It is strictly to enhance your Amateur Radio experience.
I worked on setting up this application, and I had the IP address wrong. After fixing that that it starting working. This is an 5 star apps I am going to enjoy using it. My suggestion is to the one that going to use this program follow the instructions and go to your settings on your computer that is running FT8 and follow the instructions and make sure you have the IP address right and go and check the boxes of the settings.
I paid for this app and it does not work I paid for nothing it sucks and I want a refund
Well so far i can't connect and there is no real help. I have done step by step several times . It's always the same. So just something else I spent money on that turned out to be trash.
i just discovered, on my samsung galaxy, that the changes needed in UDP in WSJT-x prevent data being sent to GridTracker which i need. if i'm correct, this is a serious limitation Thanks for your quick reply
This is a great application to add to your WJST-X workflow. I upgraded to the Pro version to support the developer and their excellent customer support. With their help I was able to integrate this app into my WSJT-X setup along side JTAlert, GridTracker, and N3FJP's Amateur Contact Log.
Worth it for the automatic mapping alone
Works nicely for me. And yes, cust svc is on point! I had a self induced configuration issue & Thomas responded immediately. If you want to run with Gridtracker too make sure you follow the special added directions. So nice to get alerts when I'm outside in the yard or in another room. My reason to get this was for the 13 Colonies special event. Needed one more station! Once set up, my phone pinged me & I got 'em / clean sweep. I'll utilize this beyond the event, it's useful to me. 73 K0ATV
