The official University of Plymouth mobile app: providing students and staff with information in one place. Quickly check your emails, find out where your next session is, or navigate around the campus.
The App is a gateway to the University’s most frequently used services and key information surrounding student life.
Features include:
• Timetable access
• Quick access to emails
• Learning environment access for course and module information
• Study support information and appointments
• Wellbeing information and support
• Financial support and advice
• PC availability and study space bookings
• Search the University’s library catalogue, checking loan and renewal statuses
• Campus maps showing buildings and key locations
• On-campus food and drink options
• Latest news and events at the University
• Check-in at teaching activities to record attendance
• Receive and view message alerts from tutors
Generally better to use the website for anything other than sign in code during lectures. Opening files such as .pdf and .doc tends to not work, again making it better to use the website. Also, the way the app has its own forward and back buttons rather than using the return button on your phone results in causing more frustration than it saves. The zoom in and out buttons are often in the way of content and could be solved with traditional methods of zooming using fingers to zoom.
Can't sign in to classes with the app and the email view makes it impossible to sort emails so frankly it's useless
Good when it works... I have to uninstall and reinstall it a few times a year. But when it works it is fairly easy to use and has all the key stuff there
Frequently have to reinstall to get it to function.

For an app you are REQUIRED to have, it doesn't help that you have to reinstall it every two weeks or so because the timetable or attendance sections aren't working and just crash the app. Good concept and can be useful but use the Web version when you can, it's much more reliable
Always crashes and has to be redownloaded
