If you have a large group they will restrict you and not allow you to book
Tried to reserve a house for a group of 14 people including children and elders only to get flagged and unable to make the reservation because apparently the group size indicated we we would throw a party. I talked to the host and he attempted to go ahead and approve the booking but Airbnb wouldn’t allow it. I contacted Airbnb and all I got was “we will connect you with our specialized team” not only that they told me they would get back to me within 24 hours only to get an email a few min later talking about “we’re withholding our decision” I attempted to book at least 3 homes and got the same problem. Why are you offering rentals that sleeps 17 people and not approve any booking request because of the large group size!!! Then don’t offer these houses in the first place!!!!!

Tried plenty of times to book a stay for my family and I to go out for a weekend to a place we’ve never been and it won’t allow because I’m “high risk to throw a party. “ Keep in mind we’re traveling with kids and I put that in the description it’s a FAMILY trip, who would throw a party with kids? I called the support number to get help and they did nothing for me to help me out. Will not be using this for the future, book a hotel instead!

Me and my friends booked and air bnb FULLY PAID to Vegas months ago for EDC last week only to get cancelled by the host 2 hours before our check in time and while on the plane going there. We contacted air bnb support to help us with the situation since we had no place to stay and everything is double and triple the price and they did NOTHING to help us we got pass over 10 different supports and NOTHING was done they just basically told us go find your own place and you’re on your own AND THE CHERRY ON TOP is we still don’t have our money back and need to wait 15 days for the refund.

They will allow the host to attack you in messages and in the review sections. Not only that they will take down honest reviews because honest reviews violate their policies. They will allow trashy places to be listed on here. Then their customer can barely understand basic English so good luck on getting things resolved.
United StatesHost cancelled 3 months later with no compensation
We booked a place for 4th of July weekend and the host cancelled the reservation one month out, leaving us high and dry with options roughly twice as expensive. Airbnb barely helped, offering some “alternative” options 8 hours away. They then the closed the case giving us our deposit back and nothing else. This is a reminder that your reservation could be cancelled for no reason at all and you will not be compensated.

Last month I used Air Bnb for a trip to London. After having my first apartment cancelled two days before arriving, I quickly made a reservation at a home that was managed by an agency. When I arrived there was no key in the lock box and after contacting the agency I was told that the apartment was getting construction done. Why tell me the home was available then? The person at the agency wanted me to get into an Uber and take it to another home. When I looked up the photos of the home it was in a creepy alleyway. As a 30 year old female I felt uncomfortable going in an Uber anywhere. After notifying Air Bnb I was told that the host didn’t do anything to violate the rules. Which I find crazy and dangerous. I have stopped using this app. I don’t think it’s safe for woman my age to use it.
