Ruined a dying franchise for corporate gain
EA what were you thinking, you made pvz1 and 2, both brilliant concepts and depth and two shooter games (bfn doesn’t count it’s hardly a game) that made my childhood, I was mixed with pvz2 having many microtransactions but in return it gave me an excellent campaign so I was perfectly happy paying a bit for such an experience as it had so much variety when it came to plants with the pick a plant system, it seems as if these first two games were complete faliures in your eyes as YOU felt the need to completely remove the pick a plant feature and replayable levels in this ‘game’. I am hesitant to call it that as it seems to your executives that these are games, not just their personal bank account, I can’t Denny you made some excellent games in the past but you just decided to completely ignore the player base for you own financial gain, if a worker of popcap or ea is reading this please I am begging you do not ruin this franchise, I don’t want you to destroy my childhood…
United KingdomOkay and the suddenly impossible - don’t bother
I was sort of enjoying this game. However it has a lot of frustrations. I played the other Plants versus Zombies games and there were so many great plants! This game has a very limited selection and they are the boring ones TBH. You are forced to work your way through the story levels and, unless you endlessly watch ads for coin, you will use up your money on the necessary items to complete the hard and very hard levels. That is what happened to me. I hit a hard level which, I think, should have been classes as a Very hard level and I just couldn’t beat it with what I had. My only option would have been to spend real cash. Now I know the game makers want you to spend your money, but I am on a low income and I just cannot afford to do that. So I’ve deleted the game and I won’t play it again. I didn’t mind the story but you need more plant choices for people and you need to give people a way to carry on playing even if they don’t spend cash.

Grapeshot who is for some reason called grapes of wrath in this game activates on its own. Shouldn’t we have to do something to actually activate it so we can use it in an actual emergency? Please either fix it or remove it from the game entirely.

Compared to PvZ 1 and 2 this is very poor, poor graphics, rubbish gameplay that small and not as user friendly and a ridiculous ‘story’ that distracts from the game that is of no use or interest, just irritating. Deleted it and playing PvZ 1 and 2 again.

I feel like this game had the same issue that battle for neighbourville had they tired to be different where as similar to garden warfare the first 2 PvZ tower defence games worked so well the first one for it’s simplicity and the second for expanding upon the experience of the first game and adding more content this game feels like just another EA cash cow and it’s a shame PvZ is a dead franchise now just like Titanfall EA killed their best franchises for Titanfall it was Apex and PvZ it was neighbourville and this garbage.
