I love this game, but it’s very expensive. The amount of money you have to spend to just finish the daily challenge is actually absurd. I think you guys should change that so that people who don’t spend money have an opportunity to at least win if they work hard! Money shouldn’t be the real thing. I would hate if I had to stop playing. Also, the 4 star card packs only having one new card is INSANE. ALSO, why do you give multiple gold cards if we can’t trade them and we only get 2 trades a day? It’s just too hard.

Apposed to other matching games, Travel Town is unique. It’s genuinely a lot more fun than most others on the App Store. That gave me hope that it also wouldn’t fall into the same unfortunate issues that 99% of free games nowadays do. That hope was misplaced, but all because of one feature! Literally just one! This game requires you to have energy to do anything, which is already a little bit of a red flag. However if energy was easy to get and replenished quickly, I really wouldn’t have an issue. It doesn’t, though! If you want to play for over 5 minutes, you are shoehorned into spending gems (which are also difficult to acquire), spending real money, or just not playing. It feels like the devs are practically begging you not to play their game. Listen, I understand that making mobile games is really unsustainable without having SOME paid features, but I would much rather spend 0.99 on the game itself than downloading a game where my options are spend money repeatedly or just not play it. I don’t understand why the devs can’t take a page out of the book of some of the most beloved mobile games and just have cosmetic items cost money. The art style is fun and cute- people would definitely pay for them! Unfortunately, I realize saying all this is just screaming into the void. Mobile games like this are developed around the plan presented to the devs by the studio. No studio is willing to scrap that plan to make players happy. So, I guess, take as a warning. If you’re willing to spend upwards of $5 a week for a mobile game, have fun! If not, enjoy the first 10 minutes of gameplay before you have wait hours or uninstall.
